Scope of Agribusiness Perspectives

The Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives is a companion volume to the Australasian Agribusiness Review, and is designed to be an outlet for material of substance about agribusiness issues which are of a more current, topical nature than the more substantial, enduring pieces of work in the Review which have to undergo more extensive peer refereeing than articles published in the Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives. The Australian Agribusiness Perspectives articles will be refereed by the Editors and will be published continuously throughout the year.

Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives will consist of articles about topical issues of interest to members of the Australian Agribusiness Association, and very importantly, which are written in a popularly accessible, easily understandable style.Editorial criteria for publication in Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives is that the articles contain thoughtful and insightful perspectives and judgements about current issues, questions, policies affecting the way agricultural-related business operate. Such articles will fall within the following broad categories:

  • Substantial views of practitioners and observers on current aspects of the business operating environment affecting the operation of agricultural-related businesses in Australia·
  • Output from short term research such as consultancy work which is attempting to answer specific questions currently being encountered in the business environment by agribusiness firms and public agencies·
  • More widely accessible versions of the essence of complex and arcane theoretical arguments and explanations about the operation and development of aspects of agribusiness which are fully developed in other publications·
  • Part of a forum dealing with a topical issue

The Editors will be the referees of Australian Agribusiness Perspectives articles. The Editors will actively seek, and commission, Australasian Agribusiness Perspectives material.
